Not yet his soul human vocals pot warming the icy sense of DeGraw’s sophomore set. The want of genuine emotion in his performances is alienating, and the combination of corny songwriting and generic arrangements doesn’t aid. On “Medicate the Kids,” DeGraw attempts to speak his mind, merely loses focus after a clumsy spoken intro and ends up ranting nigh nada in specific. The peppy single “In Love With a Girl” is around as good as it; it’s the one to download.
